Youth & Family Programs
Hands-on farm experiences for children, families, and young learners.
Hidden Pastures offers a range of programs where children and families can learn through animals, nature, practical skills, outdoor activity, and real participation in farm life.
Learn by Doing. Grow Through Experience.
Hidden Pastures youth and family programs are built around real participation: animals and farm life, practical skills, curiosity, and responsibility.
Children build confidence through competence, take on age-appropriate independence, and connect with others through shared, hands-on work.
Children are not simply watching farm life. They are invited to become part of it.

Which Program Might Be the Best Fit?
Real Farm Experiences, Different Ways to Participate
Different Programs for Different Needs
Programs may differ in age, independence, parent involvement, group size, structure, sensory environment, and frequency.
Not every program is the right fit for every child or family — and that is okay. Our programs are intentionally designed for different ages, comfort levels, interests, independence, and support needs, so families can find the experience that fits them best.
What They Share
Every program shares authentic farm participation, respect for animals, hands-on learning, practical skills, outdoor environments, and changing conditions.
Hidden Pastures is a working farm, and animal wellbeing always comes first. Specific animal interactions may vary based on health, comfort, weather, and farm needs.
Need-Based Assistance
Need-based assistance may be available through the Hidden Pastures Access Fund based on available funding.
Find the Right Place to Start
Whether your child is ready for a first farm experience, ongoing participation, homeschool learning, reading practice, a sensory-friendly family day, or a full week at camp, there is more than one way to be part of Hidden Pastures.
