Homeschool Farm Days give students ages 6–12 the opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences with animals, agriculture, science, nature, and real farm life.
Each Farm Day focuses on a different theme and gives students opportunities to ask questions, participate, explore, solve problems, and learn by doing.

Learning Through Real Farm Life
Homeschool Farm Days use the working farm as a place to explore academic ideas through real experiences.
Instead of only reading about animals, agriculture, ecosystems, tools, or food systems, students have opportunities to see, touch, observe, ask questions, and participate.
The goal is not to recreate a classroom outdoors.
It is to use the farm itself as the learning environment.

Depending on the theme, Farm Days may include topics such as:
- Animal care and behavior
- Agriculture
- Life cycles
- Food systems
- Plants and gardening
- Soil
- Weather
- Nature and ecosystems
- Farm tools and equipment
- Animal nutrition
- Farm safety
- Practical problem-solving
- Seasonal changes

Activities vary by theme, season, weather, and what is happening on the farm.
Learn by Doing
Students may learn through:

The emphasis is on participation rather than memorization.
A student may learn about animal nutrition while helping prepare feed, study plant growth while working in the garden, or explore behavior while observing livestock.

Each Homeschool Farm Day focuses on a different topic so students can return throughout the year and continue exploring new parts of farm life.

Parents May Stay — But They Don’t Have To
Parents and caregivers are welcome to remain onsite during Homeschool Farm Days, but they are not required to stay for the full program.
This gives families flexibility while allowing students to participate independently within the structure of the program.
