Contribute
Volunteering and a meaningful new hobby
Be Outdoors

Most adult experiences at Hidden Pastures are designed to welcome beginners as well as people who already have some experience. Instruction, guidance, and activities are adapted to the specific program and the participants involved.
Come ready to learn, participate, and try something new.
Confidence Grows Through Doing
Hidden Pastures experiences are built around participation.
Adults are not expected to arrive already knowing how to work with animals, ride a horse, complete farm tasks, or understand everything happening around them.
Skills are learned by trying, practicing, asking questions, solving problems, and becoming more capable over time.
That might mean learning how to safely lead a horse, completing an animal-care task, repairing something on the farm, riding independently, or participating in a project that once felt unfamiliar.
Real confidence grows from real competence.
Come Ready for Real Farm Life
Hidden Pastures is an active working farm.
Depending on the experience you choose, you may encounter:
- Animals
- Dirt, dust, or mud
- Uneven ground
- Outdoor temperatures
- Natural farm sounds and smells
- Physical activity
- Changing weather and seasonal conditions
Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for general farm participation and are required for some activities.
Specific programs may have additional clothing, footwear, or safety requirements.
Please review the details for the experience you are attending before arriving.
Need-Based Assistance
Need-based assistance may be available through the Hidden Pastures Access Fund based on available funding.
