Time 2:00–4:00 PM
Step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend an afternoon at Hidden Pastures connecting with horses, nature, and other women.
Our September gathering, Reset & Reconnect, invites you to slow down and consider where your energy is going — and what deserves more of it.
What the Afternoon May Include
During the afternoon, participants will enjoy:
- Time to settle in with light refreshments
- A guided introduction to the month’s theme
- A ground-based horse experience that may include grooming, observation, leading, or simple connection activities
- A guided reflection focused on what you want to keep, release, and make room for
- Relaxed community time around the barn and pasture
Specific activities may vary from month to month based on the theme, animals, weather, and season.
There Is No Right Way to Participate
Participation is always at your comfort level.
You are welcome to share and connect with others, participate in each activity, spend quiet time with the horses, or simply enjoy being outside at the farm.
There is no expectation that you disclose personal experiences or participate in every part of the gathering.
The experience is yours to engage with in the way that feels useful and comfortable to you.
Come for Whatever Brings You Here
You do not need a particular reason to join Women at the Farm.
Come because you:
- Love horses
- Want meaningful time away from everyday responsibilities
- Enjoy being outdoors
- Are looking for connection
- Want to meet other women
- Need a change of pace
- Enjoy reflection and guided experiences
- Simply want a chance to reset
You do not need to arrive with a problem to solve.
Sometimes having a place to slow down, participate, and spend meaningful time with others is enough.
Ground-Based Connection With Horses
Horse experiences at Women at the Farm are ground-based.
Depending on the gathering, participants may have opportunities to groom, observe, lead, learn about horse behavior, or take part in another guided interaction.
No previous horse experience is required.
The horses are not presented as therapists or as knowing what someone needs. They are part of the farm environment and create opportunities to slow down, notice, learn, interact, and try something different.
Riding is not included.
Something Different to Come Back To
Each Women at the Farm gathering centers around a different theme, giving participants new ways to experience the farm throughout the year.
Themes may shape the reflection, horse experience, activity, or conversation for that month.
The permanent page can stay the same while the This Month at the Farm section is updated with the current theme, date, and registration information.
A Community Wellbeing Experience
Women at the Farm is a community wellbeing experience.
It is not group therapy, psychotherapy, counseling, medical treatment, or a substitute for mental health care.
Participants are not expected to disclose personal experiences or process difficult events with the group.
The focus is on connection, reflection, animals, nature, community, and meaningful time at the farm.
Dress for Farm Life
Women at the Farm takes place on a real working farm.
Come prepared for:
