Adult Farm Club is a hands-on farm experience for adults ages 18+ who want to spend time outdoors, learn practical farm and animal-care skills, and connect with others in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
No farm, horse, or animal experience is required. Each session features a different hands-on activity, giving participants the opportunity to learn by doing while experiencing real life at Hidden Pastures.

A Hands-On Way to Experience Farm Life
Adult Farm Club gives adults meaningful access to animals, agriculture, practical skills, and everyday life at Hidden Pastures.
Each 90-minute session includes guided instruction, hands-on participation, and time to enjoy the animals, outdoors, and community around you.
You do not need to arrive knowing how to handle a horse, care for livestock, grow a garden, or complete a farm project.
Learning is part of the experience.
Learn by Doing

Activities vary between sessions so participants can experience different parts of farm life throughout the year.

September 26 — Meet the Herd: Life at Hidden Pastures
Meet the animals, learn basic farm and horse safety, and experience everyday farm care.
October 10 — Horse Sense: Understanding Equine Behavior
Explore horse body language, grooming, handling, and communication.
October 24 — Fall on the Farm
Take part in seasonal farm care and hands-on fall projects.
November 14 — Caring for the Herd
Learn about feeding, health observations, shelter, and seasonal animal care.
November 28 — Build, Fix & Create
Join in a practical farm or animal-enrichment project.
December 12 — Winter Farm Life
Explore winter animal care, feeding, shelter, and farm routines.
December 26 — Slow Down at the Farm
Enjoy a relaxed session centered on animals, nature, light farm activities, and connection.
Learn Something New. Meet New People. Spend Time Outside.
You do not need a particular reason to join Adult Farm Club.
Some participants may come because they love horses. Others may be interested in gardening, livestock, practical farm skills, or simply doing something different.
Adult Farm Club creates space to try new things, ask questions, build skills, spend time outdoors, and connect with people who share an interest in animals and farm life.
An Experience — Not a Work Shift
Adult Farm Club is not a volunteer work session.
While participants may complete meaningful farm projects, activities are selected and guided to create an enjoyable, educational farm experience.
If your primary goal is to contribute labor and help with the work Hidden Pastures needs completed, Volunteer Farm Hours are the better fit.
You Don't Need to Be a “Farm Person”
Adult Farm Club may be a good fit if you:

No previous experience is required.
Dress for the Farm
Adult Farm Club takes place on a real working farm.
Participants should come prepared for outdoor conditions, animals, dirt, mud, uneven ground, and changing weather.
Wear:
- Closed-toe shoes or boots
- Comfortable clothing
- Clothes that can get dirty
- Weather-appropriate layers
Need-Based Assistance
Need-based assistance may be available through the Hidden Pastures Access Fund based on available funding.
