There are many ways to experience the farm — just not through unscheduled drop-in visits.
Hidden Pastures is a working nonprofit farm with scheduled programs, private experiences, camps, events, and volunteer opportunities for children, adults, families, and community members.
A Working Farm With Scheduled Experiences
Hidden Pastures is not a public petting zoo or a drop-in attraction.
To protect the animals, maintain program schedules, and ensure visitors have an appropriate experience, visits to the farm take place through:
- A confirmed private booking
- A registered program or class
- A camp registration
- A scheduled event
- An approved volunteer session
- Another prearranged visit with Hidden Pastures
Please do not arrive at the farm without a confirmed visit or scheduled activity.

What to Expect
As an active outdoor farm, conditions change with the weather, animals, and season. Visitors should expect:
- Animals
- Dirt, dust, or mud
- Uneven ground
- Natural farm sounds and smells
- Outdoor temperatures and changing weather
- Ongoing animal-care and farm activity
Come Prepared
Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for general visits and are required for some programs and activities.
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty.
Specific programs may have additional clothing, footwear, safety, or participation requirements. Please review the details for the experience you are attending before arriving.
Our Animals Come First
Hidden Pastures aims to create experiences that are respectful, practical, welcoming, and grounded in real life on the farm.
Depending on the experience you choose, you may have opportunities to meet and learn about animals, practice new skills, participate in farm activities, spend time outdoors, ask questions, and work alongside others.
Hidden Pastures is a working farm, and animal wellbeing always comes first. Specific animal interactions may vary based on health, comfort, weather, and farm needs.
Animal interaction is always based on what is appropriate for the animal, the activity, and the visitors involved. Guests may be asked to observe rather than touch, wait for staff guidance, or participate in a different activity depending on animal wellbeing and current farm conditions.
That flexibility is an important part of experiencing a real working farm.
