Fall Break Farm Camp gives kids a full week at Hidden Pastures filled with animals, outdoor activities, practical skills, seasonal projects, and hands-on experiences.
Campers become part of everyday farm life — caring for animals, exploring nature, trying new skills, working on projects, and learning through doing.
No previous farm or animal experience is required.

More Than a Week Away From School
Fall Break Camp is designed for kids who enjoy animals, being outdoors, getting their hands dirty, and trying new things.
Camp days may include animals, outdoor learning, farm projects, agriculture, practical skills, nature, and seasonal activities.
Activities vary based on season, weather, animal needs, current farm projects, and age and group needs.
What Campers May Do
Throughout the week, campers may take part in:

Animal care and animal enrichment.
Farm Skills & Projects
Farm chores, seasonal projects, and practical farm skills.
Nature & Agriculture
Nature exploration and gardening.
Exploration & Play
Games and outdoor activities, creative projects, and opportunities to work together and solve problems.
Every day may look a little different. That is part of life on a working farm.
Real Experiences. Real Skills.
Campers are not simply visiting the farm. They participate.
Activities are designed to give campers opportunities to build confidence, responsibility, curiosity, problem-solving, communication, and practical skills through real experiences.
The goal is not to complete a perfect project. It is to learn by doing.
Animals Are Part of the Week
Campers will spend time learning about and caring for animals throughout the week.
Depending on the animals, weather, and farm needs, experiences may include horses, miniature horses, goats, sheep, pigs, cattle, donkeys, poultry, rabbits, and other Hidden Pastures animals.
Specific animal interactions cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Animal wellbeing always comes first.
Camp Follows the Farm
Hidden Pastures is a working farm, so camp activities respond to what is actually happening here.
Weather changes.
Animals have different needs.
Seasonal projects come up.
Sometimes the most memorable learning happens because the farm gives us something unexpected to work through.
Specific activities may vary from day to day and cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Dress for Farm Life
Campers should arrive prepared for active outdoor days.
Please bring or wear:
- ✓Closed-toe shoes or boots
- ✓Comfortable clothes that can get dirty
- ✓Weather-appropriate clothing
- ✓Water bottle
- ✓Lunch and snacks as required by current camp instructions
Camp takes place outdoors and may involve heat, cold, wind, dust, mud, uneven ground, and natural farm smells and sounds.
Need Help With Camp Cost?
Need-based assistance may be available through the Hidden Pastures Access Fund based on available funding.
Camp assistance generally applies to one camp week at a time.
