Get Involved at Hidden Pastures
There is more than one way to be part of the farm.
Hidden Pastures is sustained by a community of people who give their time, resources, skills, financial support, and connections.
Whether you want to work alongside us, help care for the animals, make programs more accessible, support the farm financially, or find a way for your business or organization to get involved, there is a place to start.
Help With What the Farm Needs Right Now
Current Volunteer Need: HopeKids Event— October 17
Hidden Pastures has ongoing volunteer opportunities, but some projects, events, and community days require extra hands, specific skills, or a larger group.
Current needs may include event preparation and cleanup, property projects, gardening, organizing, animal-care support, or group service days.
HopeKids will be joining Hidden Pastures for a special farm day on October 17.
This is the kind of larger community day where additional volunteer support may be needed before, during, or after the event.
Possible volunteer roles may include preparing the farm, setting up activity areas, assisting with supplies or guest flow, supporting animal areas, and helping with cleanup and reset.
Find Your Way to Help
Volunteer at the Farm
Work hard. Learn. Serve. Be part of the farm.
Volunteer Farm Hours are hands-on working sessions where community members help with real needs around Hidden Pastures.
Depending on the day, volunteers may assist with animal care, gardening, property maintenance, organization, event preparation, cleaning, or special farm projects.
These are active work sessions rather than recreational animal visits, and volunteers should come ready to contribute.
Support Hidden Pastures
Help sustain the farm where it is needed most.
General donations help Hidden Pastures respond to the everyday realities of operating a nonprofit working farm — from animal care and program supplies to fencing, repairs, equipment, property needs, and unexpected expenses.
Unrestricted support gives us the flexibility to put resources where they can make the greatest difference.
Support the Access Fund
Help make participation more possible.
The Hidden Pastures Access Fund helps reduce financial barriers for individuals, families, and community partners who want to participate in eligible programs and experiences.
Donations designated to the Access Fund help us provide assistance when funding is available.
Sponsor an Animal
Help care for the animals who make Hidden Pastures home.
Animal care is an everyday responsibility.
Sponsorship helps support needs such as feed, hay, veterinary and farrier care, medications, bedding, shelter, enrichment, and the ongoing care of the animals who live here.
You can also get to know the horses, goats, pigs, donkeys, sheep, birds, and other animals who are part of Hidden Pastures.
Businesses & Community Partners
Bring Your Organization Into the Work
Businesses, schools, nonprofits, civic groups, and community organizations can support Hidden Pastures in different ways.
Depending on the organization and current farm needs, opportunities may include:
- Sponsorship & financial support
- Volunteer & service projects
- In-kind resources & expertise
- Community partnerships
We would rather build a partnership that makes sense for both organizations than force every supporter into a predefined sponsorship package.
Giving Is Not the Only Way to Help
Hidden Pastures needs financial support, but community support takes many forms — volunteering, sharing our programs and events, making connections, contributing requested supplies or expertise, or simply helping people understand what we do.
Sometimes the most valuable contribution is the right person, the right skill, or a willingness to show up.
Current Campaigns & Special Needs
North Texas Giving Day
Help Hidden Pastures care for the animals, expand access, and build what comes next.
This North Texas Giving Day, Hidden Pastures is focusing community support on three important needs:
Animal Care
Year-round feed, veterinary care, farrier services, medications, supplies, and emergency care for the animals who make Hidden Pastures possible.
Access Fund
Support that helps reduce participation costs when financial circumstances, disability-related expenses, medical needs, or other life circumstances create barriers.
The Arena Project
A planned covered arena that will help Hidden Pastures provide a safer, more reliable space for equine programs, learning experiences, community activities, and future growth despite Texas weather.
Every gift helps strengthen one of these essential parts of Hidden Pastures: caring for the animals, opening access for people, or building the farm’s future.
Be Part of What Happens Here
Hidden Pastures exists because people are willing to participate.
Some give their time. Some give financially. Some care deeply about the animals. Some help another family gain access. Some bring tools, skills, resources, or connections.
There is no single right way to support the farm.
Find the way that fits you.
