Open Farm Work Hour

A Quiet, Predictable Time on the Farm

Open Farm Work Hour is a standing time when the farm is open for quiet presence during regular farm work.

There is no programming, facilitation, or instruction.
This hour exists whether people attend or not.

What Open Farm Work Hour Is

During Open Farm Work Hour:

  • regular farm work is happening
  • gates are open and a sign is posted
  • visitors may help with light tasks, observe, or simply be present
  • coming and going is welcome

This is shared space, not a hosted experience.

What to Expect

  • A consistent day and time
  • A calm, working farm environment
  • Light, self-directed farm tasks (when available)
  • Minimal conversation is okay
  • Silence is okay

Some people come once.
Some return occasionally.
Some simply like knowing the hour exists.

All of that is fine.

What This Is Not

To keep this space simple and sustainable, Open Farm Work Hour is not:

  • a volunteer shift
  • a class or workshop
  • a support group
  • a therapy session
  • a tour or meet-and-greet

There is no instruction, supervision, or facilitation provided.
