About Us

Hidden Pastures isn’t just a farm—it’s a place of healing, connection, and renewal. Founded by Brian Heid and Allie Seay, both military veterans, Hidden Pastures was born from a shared journey of resilience, healing, and a deep belief in the power of horses, nature, and community.

Meet the Founders

Allie McCutcheon – U.S. Army Veteran, Trauma & Equine Learning Coach

Allie is a survivor, mother, and advocate for healing through connection. After serving in the Army and going through a divorce, she spent years navigating the complexities of trauma recovery and self-discovery, ultimately finding strength, clarity, and purpose through horses. As a trauma-informed equine learning coach, she is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space for others—especially veterans, first responders, neurodivergent individuals, and survivors of trauma.

Brian Heid – U.S. Marine Veteran, Homesteader, Advocate for Authenticity

Brian’s journey took him from the structured world of the Marine Corps to the quiet resilience of farm life. Neurodivergent himself, Brian has found solace and strength in homesteading, working with animals, and creating spaces where others can find peace. His hands-on approach to building and maintaining the farm reflects his belief that healing happens through connection—to the land, to animals, and to each other.

Why Hidden Pastures?

For both Allie and Brian, Hidden Pastures is more than a farm—it’s a mission.

It’s a place where people can:

  • Step away from the noise of the world and find peace in nature.
  • Experience the quiet wisdom of horses and learn from their presence.
  • Reconnect with themselves, their families, and a supportive community.

Many people spend their lives escaping connection—whether due to trauma, stress, or simply feeling like they don’t belong. But when they return to the HERD, they find peace.

That’s why Hidden Pastures embraces the HERD philosophy (Healing, Empowerment, Resilience, Discovery)—because no one should have to heal alone.

Why We Share It with the Community

We know what it feels like to struggle. To feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about where to turn next. We also know what it feels like to heal. To find belonging, purpose, and connection in a place where you are truly seen.

We created Hidden Pastures to be that place for you.

Whether you’re a veteran seeking peace, a trauma survivor rebuilding trust, a family looking for connection, or someone searching for personal growth, you are welcome here.

Healing happens in the HERD. Welcome to ours.
